Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Agartala (Tripura)

  • Arrival and Transfer: Arrive at Agartala Airport and transfer to your hotel, Sonar Tori, just 30 minutes away.
  • Sightseeing: Visit Lakshmi Mandir, Ujjayanta Palace, and Jagannath Temple. Explore local markets renowned for bamboo handicrafts crafted by expert artisans.
  • Evening: Leisure time to relax and acclimate.
  • Overnight: Agartala

Day 2: Agartala – Udaipur – Agartala (Tripura)

  • Excursion: After breakfast, drive to Udaipur (2-hour drive).
  • Wildlife and Temples: Visit Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary. In Udaipur, see Matabari Temple and Kali Temple, located near the Bangladesh border.
  • Cultural Experience: Proceed to Mela Ghar to visit Neer Mahal, a lake palace built in the middle of Rudrasagar Lake.
  • Return and Overnight: Agartala

Day 3: Agartala – Silchar (Assam)

  • Drive: After breakfast, embark on an 8-hour drive to Silchar.
  • Overnight: Stay at Borail View, Silchar.

Day 4: Silchar – Aizawl (Mizoram)

  • Drive: Morning drive to Aizawl (6-hour drive).
  • City Tour: Visit the city viewpoint and Bara Bazaar, a bustling market showcasing local crafts and goods.
  • Overnight: Stay at Hotel Regency, Aizawl.

Day 5: Aizawl (Mizoram)

  • Cultural Exploration: Visit State Museum and Mizo Model Village to understand the Mizo culture and traditions.
  • Nature and Village Life: Drive to Vantawng Falls and visit a typical Mizo tribal village.

Day 6: Aizawl – Silchar (Assam)

Day 9: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Shillong (Meghalaya)

Day 10: Shillong – Nameri/Tezpur (Assam)

  • Drive: Travel to Nameri/Tezpur (7-hour drive).

Day 11: Nameri – Dirang (Arunachal Pradesh)

  • Drive: Journey to Dirang (10-hour drive), stopping at TIPPI Orchid Research Centre.
  • Cultural Visit: Explore Dirang Dzong and a Monpa village.
  • Overnight: Stay at Norphel Retreat, Dirang.

Day 12: Dirang – Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh)

  • Scenic Drive: Visit Dirang Monastery, Sela Lake at Sela Pass, Jaswant Ghar, and Nunarang Falls.
  • Arrival: Reach Tawang in the evening.
  • Overnight: Stay at Hotel Yangzom, Tawang.

Day 13: Tawang (Arunachal Pradesh)

Day 15: Bomdila – Kaziranga (Assam)

Day 17: Kaziranga – Majuli – Jorhat (Assam)
